Many of the missions in Far Cry 6 offer some quality loot, but not all of it is actually part of the mission rewards. Some of the high-quality weapons in Far Cry 6 lay in loot chests that just happen to be in mission areas. During the "Du or Die" mission, this is exactly the case in regard to the Yaran Contraband in Fort Quito. "Du or Die" requires the player to grab two different keys to accomplish the main objective of stealing uranium from the fort, but when Dani discovers a chest of Yaran Contraband in the basement, neither of these keys will open the gate in front of it.

Luckily, the Yaran Contraband is not impossible to access, it's just that the keys are not the way to get to it. Once the path is revealed, it is pretty easy, and extremely rewarding. How to Open the Fort Quito Yaran Contraband in Far Cry 6 This is the case for many of the most powerful equipment in Far Cry 6. There is no key available throughout Far Cry 6's "Du or Die" mission to open the gate. In fact, the gate isn't used to access the contraband at all. Instead, Dani must circumvent the locked gate in order to get to the chest. To access the chest, walk around to the right of the fenced-off area, and there will be a section of it that seems to be "reinforced" by plywood. When used wisely the Autocrat will help you triumph over your enemies.Now Dani can simply walk through and open the long, maroon crocodile-skin case that is on the shelf. Inside the case is a powerful, unique weapon called "The Autocrat." Melee attack the plywood to break it, and reveal that there is no metal fencing behind it. The Autocrat has a lot of damage and range is good for wreaking havoc in the lives of your enemies.
FORT QUITO YARAN CONTRABAND MOD
The only drawback of the Autocrat is that you will not be able to change its mod loadout (like all other Unique Weapons). The Trigger Discipline mod will help you provide better-aimed weapon damage while the Gut Wrencher mod, like the name suggests will help with an improved body shot damage. The Armor Piercing Rounds mod of Autocrat is described as “round that holds straight lines.” It helps penetrate helmets and body armor. It is a rank 2 pistol with 500 Rate of Fire and 8 Magazine. The Autocrat is a great improvement over the base PMM pistol. Instead, the player must break the boards on the right side of the cage to get inside and retrieve the Autocrat Unique Pistol. Confusingly, this door cannot actually be opened with the aformentioned Fort Quito Key.
Players will be able to obtain the Autocrat after completing the main objective. There is a locked door in the deep underground area of Fort Quito labeled on the map with the phrase Yaran Contraband. The Du or Die mission will require you to get depleted Uranium to build a Supremo. After you are done destroying the wooden panel you will be able to enter the storage area and get yourself a the Unique Weapon – Autocrat.įort Quito is a part of the Du or Die mission. If you want to give it a shot with your machete, go ahead.Įnter the wooden panel by destroying the wooden panel. On the right side you will spot a wooden panel that you can either shoot or blow up into pieces. Now to gain access through the door you would have to move to the right side of the storage area.
The key found in Du or Die can be used on a different door with depleted Uranium required to complete the mission. Once you have found the door you will see that there are no keys around to help unlock it and there no padlocks to be shot either.Īlthough you will be able to find a Fort Quito key during the Du or Die mission, it will not work on this door. Now you will need to climb up the ladder and walk towards the storage area. Then you would have to swim through a dark dingy cave that will lead you to the basement area of the fort.
